"Little Steps" wins the public choice award

The short film by Davide Romeo Meraviglia was awarded during the ceremony held by Lancia

Y Generation is a film project wich aims at supporting young directors. Lancia, the famous car manufacturer, has selected ten directors who have interpreted the spirit of Y Generation with talent and creativity under the artistic supervision of Ambra Angiolini and Adriano Giannini and with the coordination of Paolo Borraccetti. The directors worked in total freedom without any stylistic constraint and the result of this competition is ten short films about themes ranging from love, to immigration.

The contest had a double verdict. During the ceremony which took place in Milan, "Little steps" directed by Davide Romeo Meraviglia was awarded the public choice award whereas the film "Bochra-Joy" directed by Sebastiano Luca Insinga, aka Selin, was given the prize of the jury. Among the guests of the night there were the actress Matilde Gioli and the screenwriter Fabio Genovesi.

"I am obviously very happy about the award," commented Davide Romeo Meraviglia "which was a great surprise at the end of a wonderful experience, but to be honest the real victory was being chosen by Lancia and OffiCine for this project and therefore having the chance to express myself without any constraint. I think that all the ten films created within "Y Generation" are an expression of ten fascinating visions. I feel honored to have been part of this experience and I thank Lancia and OffiCine for believing in me".
